A couple have spent over €80,000 to reveal the gender of their unborn baby on the tallest building in the world.

The Dubai-based influencers hosted an extravagant event which lit the Burj Khalifa up in blue to reveal that they were having a boy.

After a countdown from ten, the 828-metre turned blue and the message 'It's a boy' was projected on it.

Videos of the project by Anas and Asala Marwah have since gone viral on YouTube and Instagram.

The couple have more than 7.3 million subscribers on YouTube, and each have more than two million followers on their individual Instagram accounts.

They say it took over a month and a half to plan the project.
