Graham Dwyer's murder trial has heard a dog trainer found bones, tracksuit bottoms and a rusty knife blade while out walking at Killakee in September 2013.

The 42 year old architect from Kerrymount Close Foxrock is alleged to have fatally stabbed Elaine O'Hara to gratify his own sexual desires in the Dublin mountains, a year earlier.

Elaine O'Hara's family walked out of court as dog trainer Magali Vergnet was called to the witness box.

She told the jury in September 2013 she found bones, a tracksuit and what felt like a shoe while trying to find her dog Millie on a walk in a forested area of Killakee in the Dublin mountains.

The court heard there was also a rusty knife blade stuck into the ground nearby in a car park.

Elaine O'Hara had been missing for over a year at this point.

Earlier, the Central Criminal Court heard that prior to her remains being found in the Dublin mountains, the family of Elaine O'Hara began to accept that she had probably taken her own life.

The court also heard there were two heavy metal chains in a bedside drawer and a rope and pvc bodysuit at Elaine O'Hara's apartment.

The trial of Graham Dwyer has been hearing evidence from the garda liaison officer who was appointed to keep the O'Hara family up to date on the investigation into her disappearance.

Mr Dwyer, a 42 year old architect from Kerrymount Close, Foxrock denies murdering the childcare worker at Killakee, Rathfarnham on August 22nd, 2012.

The prosecution alleges he stabbed her for his own sexual gratification.

Her skeletal remains were found more than a year after she went missing.
