As of this morning, there were 278 patients in Irish hospitals with COVID-19 - up from 261 yesterday.

The number of patients in ICU has dropped from 66 to 63 over the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Ireland has hit another vaccine milestone, with more than 90% of all over 16s now fully vaccinated.

HSE CEO Paul Reid says it’s the highest uptake in the EU, describing young people’s efforts as “truly remarkable & inspirational”.
