The owners of Brown Thomas and Arnotts say their shops will re-open on a phased basis from next week.
Brown Thomas will open small format, individual stores on the ground floor of its stores from June 10th.
This means each store will be accessed separately from street level, and there will be no connectivity between the separate stores.
This will include its beauty hall, accessory hall, MAC, Hermes and Louis Vuitton boutiques.
Arnotts will then open small format, individual stores on the ground floor from June 11th.
This will see a similar set-up with its beauty, accessories and menswear stores accessible from separate entrances off Henry Street, Liffey Street and Abbey Street.
And on June 12th Brown Thomas in Cork, Limerick and Galway will open a number of small format stores on the ground floor of their stores.
A spokesperson for Brown Thomas Arnotts said: "The safety and well-being of our team members and our customers are our top priority and all store openings will adhere to both the Government guidelines set out for opening of small stores and all the necessary safety, social distancing measures and team training as outlined by the HSE and NSAI which will be implemented in all our stores prior to opening.
"We remain in regular contact with the relevant departments to guide these standards."
The group says it hopes to have entire stores open by June 29th.
The Brown Thomas Arnotts group closed their shops due to the outbreak back in March.
