Dublin City Council has said time is being reserved in parks across the capital for older people who are taking exercise.
This applies to those over-70, or the medically vulnerable, who are now free to exercise within a 5km limit of their homes.
Time will be set aside every afternoon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm from Wednesday, the council said.
They have asked other users to allow older people their chance to enjoy the parks safely during these hours.
It has said that other users should avoid them during these times.
"Our parks provide an opportunity to exercise in a spacious environment that allows for social distancing", it added.
Starting tomorrow, all our parks will be reserved between 1.30pm & 3.30pm, for people who are #cocooning. This includes the over-70s & medically vulnerable people. Please allow older people their chance to enjoy the parks safely during these 2 hrs.#InThisTogether #communitycall pic.twitter.com/kXnUPD0EsT
