The Government has moved to clarify its guidelines on the number of people allowed to attend cinemas, theatres and museums.
It comes after the Departments of Arts and Health issued conflicting statements on the issue yesterday.
Originally the Department of Health had said no more than six people could attend indoor events with now more than 15 outdoors.
The Taoiseach’s office today said businesses like museums, cinemas, theatres and art galleries are viewed as “controlled environments” and, as such, can continue to operate as before.
It means up to 50 people can attend events in those venues.
Groups attending cultural events must be limited to no more than six people from no more than three households.
Cultural events outside of the named venues are limited to six people indoors and 15 outdoors.
