A further 294 COVID cases have been announced this evening.
As of Monday night, there were 39 coronavirus patients in Irish hospitals – a 35% decrease on this day last week.
There were 13 in intensive care a 43% decrease on the 23 recorded last week.
In a tweet, the HSE chief Paul Reid said 22 Irish hospitals now have either one or zero cases.
He noted that hospitals are still “under significant challenge” due to increased Emergency Department attendances and the ongoing impact of the cyberattack.
The five-day moving average has fallen slightly to 314.
The Department of Health said the cyberattack is continuing to impact on its data and noted that, “daily case numbers may change due to future data review, validation and update.”
