Wednesday funerals
Yesterday, the funerals of Catherine O’Donnell, her son James Monaghan and James O’Flaherty took place.
Fr Duffy described Ms O’Donnell as the "only sensible one in her family” and said James had been like “a plane slowly taxiing down the runway about to take off into his teenage years."

Mr O’Flaherty’s young son, Hamish, received a standing ovation after telling mourners:
“We should be grateful,” he said, “for your families – cherish them, be grateful for they won't be there forever. Use the time you have wisely.
“Also, be grateful for your life because that too will not last forever.”
Gaoth Dobhair parish priest Fr Brian Ó Fearraigh told the congregation that Mr O'Flaherty was "a truly amazing father, a loving husband, a committed work colleague and a dear friend.”
