The most air filled bag of crips ever. I fear it might explode. Like a bomb. A crisp bomb in fact. pic.twitter.com/dmwOjyXw

Ever get that sinking feeling when your tease open a plump bag of crisps to find that it’s mostly air?
Well students in South Korea have gone out of their way to prove that sinking feeling really floats, by constructing a raft made out of 160 unopened crisp bags.

Two male students then paddled the crisp canoe down Seoul’s main river, going almost a mile on their makeshift raft, to show that the products have too much packaging.
Recently, South Korean consumer groups have said that in recent years, food manufacturers have been including too little of the foodstuff and increasing the amount of packaging.
South Korean consumers now often post picture of food packaging and its contents in online forum and blog posts to highlight the differences.

Food manufacturers in South Korea have responded by saying that the air in the bag actually protects against breakages and helps to keep the food fresher for longer.
