Following a court decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson for the killing of teenager Michael Brown, the city of Ferguson, Missouri has seen widespread rioting and looting.

One victim of the damage was resident Natalie Dubose, who this summer achieved her dream of opening her own bakery, only for it to be vandalised in the violence.

To get the bakery back on its feet, Dubose's friend suggested setting up an online donation page.

Though her target was set at $20,000, online donations exceeded it by over ten times.

Dubose is extremely grateful for the generosity of the donors, saying that "the outpouring of support on Twitter, Facebook, and in the media has been amazing. I was in tears."

On her page she writes about her passion for baking and her determination to get her dream back on track, despite the massive setback:

"I LOVE TO BAKE !!!

"It was my dream and I'm working hard to accomplish that dream."
