Repak’s Jo Linehan said you can also save money on wrapping paper by getting creative and skipping the shop altogether.
“I absolutely love using brown paper,” she said. “It’s so classic and you can really dress it up with a bit of holly or ivy," she said.
She also suggested using newspapers or magazines to wrap a present; you can find videos online of creative ways to decorate your gift.
“There’s also using maps,” Ms Linehan suggested.
“You can go to a second-hand bookstore or charity shop and find old maps and they look amazing.
“Or instead of putting it in wrapping paper, maybe put it in a tote bag so the person can use it again," she added.
