A man in his late 60s has been killed in a road crash in Co. Kerry.
The victim was cycling on the Tralee to Killarney road when he was hit by a minibus.
At around a quarter to ten last night, the man in his late 60s was cycling a bike at Kilcummin Cross on the Tralee to Killarney road when he was struck by a minibus.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Tralee General Hospital.
The driver and sole occupant of the mini bus was uninjured.
The main Tralee - Killarney road is currently closed in both directions at Kilcummin Cross as Gardaí carry out a technical examination of the scene. Diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Kilarney are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
