An appeal has been launched for witnesses after a hit-and-run in Co Louth.
Gardaí have said a man fell from his bike and was struck by a passing vehicle on the Castletown Road in Dundalk.
It happened just before 2pm on Monday.
The car failed to remain at the scene and the man, aged in his late 20s, was seriously injured during the collision.
He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Dundalk where he was treated for his injuries which are non-life threatening.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Any road users and pedestrians who were on Castletown Road, Dundalk and surrounding areas on the afternoon of Monday between 1.45pm and 2.30pm, and noticed any unusual activity, is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
Anyone who may have camera footage - including dash cam - of this area for Monday afternoon is also asked to make this available.
