Passengers at Dublin Airport have been hit with "lengthy queues" at security this morning.
People at the airport took to social media to complain of queues of "hundreds of people" looking to get through security.
Irish band Hermitage Green was among those complaining about the problems, calling the queues "absolutely ridiculous".
Some passengers claimed they had missed flights due to the queues, with others saying they just about made it to their gates on time after queueing for over an hour.
It follows similar complaints about long queues at the airport yesterday.
In a statement, a DAA spokesperson confirmed there were long waits for some passengers.
They said: "Dublin Airport is experiencing lengthy queues for security this morning and every resource is being deployed to minimise delays for our passengers.
"We sincerely apologise for the obvious inconvenience this is causing. We expect the situation to ease from 11.00 based on anticipated passenger numbers scheduled to travel today."
As of Sunday afternoon, wait times at the airport had reduced to less than ten minutes.
Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport have increased significantly in recent weeks, following the easing of restrictions around international travel.
There had been warnings earlier this summer of potential long delays at the airport due to social distancing requirements and added travel documentation.
The exact cause of today's delays is not yet known.
