People travelling into Dublin city have faced delays and backlogs around Dame Street due to an earlier fire.
Dublin Fire Brigade responded to reports of a fire in a building just after 9.00am.
A fire in a stairwell was discovered and five fire engines were sent to the scene.
Dame Street has been temporarily closed to traffic to allow firefighters carry out operations, with two fire engines remaining there.
A number of Dublin Bus services have also been diverted as a result.
In a statement, the company said: "All routes travelling southbound and northbound will divert via Winetavern Street, Ormond Quay and back onto normal route.
"Diversions will be in place until further notice," it added.
