Nearly two decades after his death, actor River Phoenix’s final movie is to finally get its premier.

“Dark Blood” will be shown at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht in September.

Dutch director George Sluizer had only completed four-fifths of the movie when Phoenix, collapsed and died of a drug-induced heart-failure outside a Hollywood nightclub in 1993.

He was prompted to finish the film by his own deteriorating health.
