Little Britain star David Walliams is going back to school for a new sitcom.

The actor and comedian plays a hopelessly romantic chemistry teacher in love with a colleague.

The show, which is set in a secondary school, is being described as “Grange Hill meets Remains Of The Day”.

It’s got a working title “Autumn Leaves” and has been written by Walliams and the Dawson Brothers, who have written for Mitchell and Webb.
