Fine Gael is turning to Facebook to catch public's attention on the Seanad Referendum.
The government party is launching ads to highlight the fact that Sweden, Denmark and New Zealand are among 30 countries which abolished their second house during the 20th Century.
It emerged earlier that Labour's director of elections for the referendum Alex White did not know how much the taxpayer would save by scrapping the Seanad.
Opponents to the referendum say reform of the upper house is preferable to its abolition.
Meanwhile the Sinn Féin President has challenged the Fianna Fáil leader to a debate on the Seanad referendum.
Gerry Adams has accused Micheál Martin of using the referendum campaign to try and make Fianna Fáil relevant with people again.
And he says there is only one reason Mr Martin is campaigning for a 'No' vote.
While Fine Gael is adamant the only debate the Taoiseach will take part in on the Seanad referendum is in the Dáil chamber.
The deputy director of elections for the party is Regina Doherty.
