The agriculture sector recorded the highest number of deaths for the 3rd year in a row.

Urged to take full precautions at work
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work says "Slips, trips and falls are the largest cause of accidents in all sectors".
"They have been identified as the main causes of accidents that result in more than 3 days absence from work" it adds.
The HSA adds that hundreds of Irish people are hurt this way each year.
- Slips, trips and falls account for 17% of all notified 4+day injuries
- 21% of injured people were unable to work for over a month
- They were the major cause (44%) of workplace accidents reviewed by the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (2009)
- 22% of workplaces surveyed by HSA Inspectors had not carried out a slip, trip and fall risk assessment
Martin O'Halloran is CEO of the HSA.
He says people from all industries should just make the extra time to take full safety precautions.
