Colourful new bins have been launched in Dublin, which aim to encourage people to recycle on the go.
The pilot Circle City project is being rolled out today.
The pandemic has led to a rise in single-use items, and increased consumption on the move and outdoors.
Bright yellow bins have now appeared on busy streets such as Grafton Street, South King Street, Henry Street and Mary Street in the capital.
They're separate from the general waste bins, and clearly marked for plastic bottles and cans.
More than two dozen of the bins have been installed initially, with plans for more in the coming months.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu said the new bins will be labelled clearly for bottles, cans and plastics.
She said: "There'll be 25 at the start, and hopefully more to come.
"It's just to encourage people to recycle more, and separating the plastic rubbish and cans from general rubbish.
"It's something we need to do, and we're desperately in need of it in the city at the moment."
The pilot project is being rolled out in partnership with DCC and Coca Cola foundation and environmental charity Hubbub.
