Anne Hathaway gave birth to her first child last month in Los Angeles.
The award-winning star, along with her husband Adam Shulman are currently in the company of friends and family to enjoy the joyful news. The pair are 'ecstatic to be parents' according to Hathaway's representative and they named their new baby boy Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman.
Having a child has been a long existing ambition of Anne Hathaway and she has enthused about it in the past. In a 2013 interview with Vogue, she said:
"Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely," she shared with the fashion bible. "I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."
Throughout her pregnancy, the Les Miserables actress maintained a healthy and active lifestyle. She also made a dedicated effort to allocate some time to spend with her husband, who she wed in 2012, as they prepared for the new arrival.
