The man accused of going on a shooting spree in a cinema last Friday in America will appear in court this evening.

Prosecutors say the 24 year old suspect – James Holmes – could face the death penalty if found guilty.

12 people died and 58 others were wounded when he went on a shooting rampage at a cinema in Denver, during a midnight screening of the new Batman movie.

Last night, President Obama met with the families of the victims and visited those who remain in hospital in Colorado.
