Emergency services are at the scene of a major fire at a nightclub in Derry city.

The blaze broke on the roof of the Envy nightclub on the Strand Road in the city.

Police have closed the road and asked motorists and pedestrians to keep away.

There are reports that the roof may contain asbestos. A number of nearby premises have been evacuated.

Anyone living or working in the area has been warned to keep their windows closed.
