The PSNI have said an object found under the car of a serving British soldier in Co Armagh was not explosive.

It follows controlled explosion that was carried out.

It is understood the soldier discovered the object under her vehicle at Corbracky Road in Portadown yesterday afternoon.

British army bomb disposal officers were called to scene and nearby houses were evacuated.

A police spokesman said they are keeping an open mind, but the item is not believed to be suspicious.
