Joe Biden’s high-profile gaffes at the NATO summit in Washington overnight show he is 'not equal to the task' of being US President, according to Ciara Kelly.
Speaking at the end of the three-day summit the 81-year-old mistakenly referred to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as "President Putin".
"Ladies and gentlemen, President Putin," Mr Biden said, referring to Mr Zelenskyy before correcting himself.
Just a short while later while taking questions from journalists he mixed up the names of Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
When asked if he had any doubts about his vice president's ability to take the top job, he said: "I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if she wasn't qualified to be president."

President Biden has insisted he will push ahead with his re-election bid despite a growing number of Democrats calling on him to stand aside.
Newstalk Breakfast presenter Shane Coleman said by-and-large Joe Biden handled himself well.
"We can all get names wrong; I think the second one is more understandable - Vice President Trump - we can all make a mistake," he said.
"But to mix up the President of Ukraine and Russia, that's disastrous.
"The problem is every little mistake now is going to be magnified".
'Incremental decline'
Presenter Ciara Kelly said Joe Biden seems to have had a decline in his health.
"George Clooney said something interesting yesterday; he said this is not the Joe Biden of 2010, it's not even the Joe Biden of 2020," she said.
"There has obviously been an incremental decline and he is 81 years of age.
"In a normal job, in other circumstances, the man would be long retired - but yet he is running for the highest office almost in the world."
Ciara said she doesn't believe he's the right person for the top job.
"He is showing significant signs of cognitive decline,” she said. “He looks Parkinsonian in his movements, in his freezing.”
"He looks like a man whose health and brain health has been affected - is that the right man for the job?
"I don't think so and that's not a disrespectful thing; he just doesn't appear to be equal to the task".
'Kamala Harris'
Shane said there is only one possible alternative for the Democrats at this point.
"You cannot look beyond Kamala Harris," he said.
"If the Democrats bring in a white male governor, for example, and overlook a female, black, incumbent Vice President they will be hammered and rightly so".
Ciara added that Joe Biden could stand down and "do the right thing".
