A man has died in a diving tragedy in county Galway.

The man -who is in his 50's and from county Mayo-is believed to have been diving at Killary Harbour earlier today when the incident happened.

His body has been removed to Galway University Hospital.

Gardai at Clifden are investigating the incident.

Castlebar councillor, Michael Kilcoyne, says the entire community is shocked by the news.
