A search is continuing at a recycling plant in Dublin after body parts were found there on Thursday night.

A pelvis and dismembered leg was found in a bin at Thorntons Recycling Plant in Ballyfermot, but a post mortem yesterday failed to establish the age or sex of the body. The cause of death is also unknown.

It is reported that investigating Gardai are treating the find as suspicious and are now searching through missing persons files.

It is hoped DNA results released later today will shed more light on the discovery.
