A dog has survived a 300-foot plunge into the Atlantic from a cliff in Co Clare.
The alarm was raise on Sunday afternoon after the Jack Russell, named 'Vimes', lost his footing and fell into the sea at Lookout Point near Kilkee.
He luckily avoided the rocks on the way down and managed to swim to the base of the cliff.
The Kilkee Coast Guard says it recovered the dog, whose owners are currently on honeymoon.
But Vimes is already famous in his own right, having his own Twitter account.
Taking it easy now! Me when I'm not adventuring and causing a small maritime crisis. pic.twitter.com/RpDob9Nkam

And he even thanked his rescuers after his ordeal.
I'd like to give a massive thank you to my new heroes @KilkeeRescue for saving me yesterday when I walked off a 300ft high cliff. #legends
