A minor earthquake was felt in County Donegal last night.
It happened just before 11pm.
The magnitude 2.4 tremor occurred in Donegal Bay and was confirmed by the National Seismic Network (INSN).
According to the INSN, the event was felt by members of the public around the Killybegs area.
They also there's 'anecdotal' evidence that it was also felt as far north as Ardara and as far south as Ballyshannon.
Monitors note that such minor earthquakers are "not uncommon" in the area.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow weather explained: "There were numerous reports of people having felt the light effects of an earthquake in that area.
"It's unusual, but it's not unheard of."
