A 21-year-old woman has died after being hit by a Garda patrol car in Donegal.
Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ludden, Buncrana in Co Donegal.
According to Gardaí, the pedestrian woman was struck by the car at approximately 3.15am on Sunday, May 21st.
No other people were injured at the scene of the collision.
The young woman’s body remains at the scene of the incident.
The scene remains closed for a technical examination. The road is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.
As per protocol, this road traffic collision has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Act, 2005.
Investigations are ongoing.
