The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is still considering whether further charges should be brought against a man charged with a golf club attack in Dublin last month.
Jason Saunders died in hospital less than an hour after being found unconscious outside a shop on Fassaugh Avenue in Cabra.
On the morning after St. Patrick's Day, a passerby found Jason 'Jay' Saunders lying unconscious near the Cabra House pub. He died in hospital from injuries to his head and body.
Paul Brannigan (22) was arrested at a nearby apartment on Fassaugh Avenue where it is believed Mr. Saunders had attended a party the night before.
He was charged with assault causing harm and using a golf club as a weapon.
At a previous court appearance, Detective Sergeant Tom Lynch said the DPP was contemplating further more serious charges against Mr. Brannigan.
The accused was recently granted bail by the High Court and the DPP has requested more time to consider his case.
The matter has been put back for eight weeks and he is due in court again in June.
