A dramatic photograph shows a Ryanair flight taking off just as a mini-tornado swirls closely behind.

The plane was departing the East Midlands in the UK and heading for Spain when the tornado was captured hitting land just behind it by photographer Russ Greenwell.

The flight arrived in Spain with no problems but we think it's safe to say this is a picture the passengers were glad to see after their feet were firmly planted on solid ground.
