A smoothie has been thrown at the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar in Dublin.
It happened in Merrion Square at around 3pm today, while the Tánaiste was filming a video about COVID-19 plans.
In a video shared on social media, a woman is seen approaching Mr Varadkar as he is preparing to do a piece to camera.
After throwing the drink, she is seen running from the area.
You can dislike Leo Varadkar, you can criticise his policies, you can disagree with him, but this is nasty and unnecessary thing to do. pic.twitter.com/ze8eVByU3S

Gardaí say they are now investigating the incident.
The Tánaiste this evening said he thought the woman was singer Avril Lavigne at first, as she was carrying out a skateboard.
He said: "She had a smoothie, which ended up all over my face and halfway down my suit.
"I had a spare suit, and got on with the day's works. I haven't spoken to the gardaí yet, but I believe they want to speak to me - I believe that will be next week."
Young Fine Gael has labelled the incident 'disgusting'.
The former Fine Gael TD Noel Rock, meanwhile, said: "This is a poxy thing to do, regardless of your political view."
