Gardaí have seized drugs worth nearly €700,000 in two separate operations in Carlow and Tipperary.
The Tipperary seizure came after Gardaí on patrol in Ballinure attempted to stop a van.
The van failed to stop and investigators said they observed two packages being thrown from the vehicle into a nearby field.
The van stopped a short distance away and Gardaí arrested two men, aged 22 and 45-years-old.
Tipperary
Two packages were retrieved from the field and were found to contain Ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €150,000.
During follow-up searches at homes in the Cashel and Killenaule areas cannabis herb worth around €400,000 was uncovered along with €21,000 in cash.
The two men are being held at Thurles Garda Station.
Carlow
Separately, Gardaí uncovered cannabis herb worth around €125,000 during searches in County Carlow on Friday.
The Garda Dog Unit helped sniff out the drugs at a premises at Phelim Wood in Tullow.
A total of 6.25kg of cannabis herb was seized.
A 44-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is being held at Carlow Garda Station.
