Drugs worth €320,000 and a gun have been seized in Co Galway.

Gardaí searched a house in Loughrea this morning, as part of an investigation targeting organised criminal activity in Galway East.

They discovered cannabis grass and cocaine with a combined estimated street value of €320,000.

A gun was also found and seized.

Two men - one aged in his mid-20s and another in his 40s - were arrested at the scene.

They're being held at Galway Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
