Gardaí have arrested a man in his 30s, after the seizure of drugs worth an estimated €40,000 in Tipperary.

Heroin, Amphetamine and Cannabis were uncovered at a house in Thurles yesterday evening, when local gardaí and members of the Divisional Drugs Unit searched the premises. 

The man, who was arrested at the scene, is being held at Thurles garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

He can be detained for up to seven days.

The house search came as part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the county.
