Revenue officers have seized drugs worth €25,400 at Dublin Mail Centre today.

1.2kgs of herbal cannabis and 20g of cocaine were found in four parcels which originated in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The discovery was made during routine operations and with the assistance of detector dog Bailey.

Three of the parcels containing herbal cannabis were declared as ‘Vintage Tommy', ‘Hot Wheels toy car’, and ‘Forever21 Woman’s coat’.

The remaining parcel, containing cocaine, was concealed in a pair of ‘Nike Air Max’.

All parcels were destined for an address in Dublin.

It follows a separate seizure at the mail centre last Tuesday.

1.6kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €32,000 was seized by Revenue.

The drugs were found in several parcels coming in from the US.

They were declared as children’s toys’, ‘candle set’, ‘teddy bear’, ‘beauty kit’, ‘tent’, and ‘sweaters/sweatpants.’
