A man has been arrested after drugs worth €40,000 and €65,750 in cash were seized in north county Dublin.
Gardaí discovered the suspected cannabis and cash following a number of searches in Hollystown, Dublin 15 yesterday.
As part of an ongoing investigation, officers stopped a car yesterday evening at approximately 7pm in area.
The car was searched and a large quantity of suspected cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately €12,000 was recovered.
A man in his 20s, who was travelling alone, was arrested at the scene and taken to Store Street Garda Station.
He was detained under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
During a follow-up search at a house in Hollystown, Gardaí discovered a further quantity of suspected cannabis estimated to be worth €28,000, along with €65,750 in cash.
Donegal
Elsewhere, €105,000 worth of drugs has been seized in Co Donegal.
The 1.5 kilos of cocaine was discovered after Gardaí stopped a vehicle in Drumbuoy, Lifford, yesterday afternoon as part of an intelligence-led operation.
Two men in their 20s were arrested at the scene and are being held at Letterkenny Garda Station.
