Dublin Airport has passed the 20 million passenger mark for this year.
More than 1.3 million extra passengers have already passed through the airport than in 2013, which is a 7% increase.
The airport also notes that the busy December period is yet to come.
Fourteen new services have been announced for next year to destinations including Los Angeles, Addis Ababa, Washington DC and Reykjavik.
The Dublin Airport managing director, Vincent Harrison, said 2014 has been a very strong year for the airport in terms of passenger growth.
"This year has been Dublin Airport's busiest since traffic peaked in 2008 and we're growing much faster than the European average," he said.
"Significant capacity increases and frequencies on a number of routes during the year have also contributed to passenger growth. Transfer traffic is up 38% and is set to reach record levels by year end with over 650,000 passengers to date opting to connect at Dublin onwards to transatlantic, European and UK destinations," he added.
