A 90s themed bar in Dublin has created a new Tangle Twista Beer based on the tastes of your childhood.
Jackie’s Bar in the Liberties designed the ice cream-flavoured beer after successfully creating a few crazy cocktails.
“They [the brewers] didn’t want to make it overly sweet and, at the end of the day, it’s still a beer and you have that taste of vanilla of it,” Cian Toner of Jackie’s Bar told Moncreiff.
“As soon as you taste, it you get that twang of pear and strawberry at the end.
“So, it is a beer, it’s not a cocktail.”
Filling it for Seán Mocreiff as presenter was Jarlath Regan, who liked what he tasted.
“The first thing that you do taste, is that it’s not a traditional beer taste,” he said.
“Whatever about the tango twister element of this, this is a nice beer - and I’m not being paid to say that.
“I did have a bit of scepticism about the idea, ‘Why would I want to have a Tango Twista beer?’
“But this is just a good quality beer.”
