Members of the Dublin Fire Brigade are attending the scene of a suspected gas explosion in the city.
At approximately 9:30am this morning a manhole cover exploded beside a busy restaurant at the corner of Merrion Street Upper and Lower Baggot Street.
Bord Gais have been informed and people are being urged to be careful in the area.

But the Lolly and Cooks restaurant - near where the blast happened - decided to make the best of a bad situation:
