A rapper from Ballyfermot in Dublin (9) has signed a record deal.

Ben Dunne - who uses the name 'Ben R' - has agreed to a two year development deal with Dublin-based recording company Bloodshed Records.

He is set to make a number of public appearances over the next few months.

He will also support American hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony during their concert here in May.

Ben R released his digital single, 'Top Of The Food Chain' earlier this month.
