A Dublin taxi driver who was recently convicted of raping two female passengers is also awaiting sentence for raping a seven-year-old girl over ten years ago.
50-year-old Raymond Shorten of Melrose Crescent in Clondalkin, was found guilty earlier this year but couldn’t be named until now.

He raped her on another occasion when she was also just seven or eight years old and he sexually assaulted her in his car that same year.

Shorten will be sentenced for raping the girl on the 19th of this month.
