Dublin Zoo is showing off its latest arrivals - two young snowy owls.
The sibling birds came from Linton Zoo in the UK.
They are less than 12-months-old.
The Zoo says it is still too early to tell whether they are male or female.
They will be on show at Fringes of the Artic.
'Settling in well'
The adult male snowy owl is characterised by a fully white plumage while females and young birds are recognised by their speckled coat while all snowy owls have yellow eyes and black beaks.
They perch on the ground or on short posts and at this time of year spend most of the day hunting and feeding.
Team leader is Eddie O'Brien.
"They are settling in very well and are accustomed to our cold weather. The owls actually love this time of year" he said.
