The iconic Gresham Hotel on O'Connell Street in Dublin is expanding. It is converting office space and a gym already in the building to add 23 rooms to its existing 291.
It follows work last year to build the largest ever penthouse suite in the the hotel, made up of five bedrooms.
The hotel has hosted many well-known guests, including Princess Grace of Monaco and actors Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor.
The Gresham - which was established by Thomas Gresham in 1817 - is a protected structure.
It has also emerged that deals worth around €85 million were made in the first three months of the year for the hotel.
