The Lord Mayor of Dublin says he doesn't want to see clamping fines increased.

There were calls this week for the penalty to be increased, as the current amount of 80 euro hasn't gone up since 1998.

A Dublin City Council official suggested raising the illegal parking fee to €130.

But Dublin Lord Mayor Christy Burke says any increase would only work to serve the company operating the clamping service:
