One of the most famous statues in Dublin has been graffitied by vandals.
The Molly Malone structure was spray-painted across her breasts last night, just days after her being unveiled in her new home on the top of Suffolk Street in the city.
She was moved from the bottom of Grafton Street to facilitate Luas works.
The Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) says she will be moved back to as close to her original position as possible, once the link-up is complete.
The statue was at the Grafton Street location by then-Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ben Briscoe during the 1988 Dublin Millennium celebrations.
Molly Malone was a semi historical/legendary figure - who was commemorated in the song 'Cockles and Mussels'.
She worked as a fishmonger but also as a working girl and died in one of the outbreaks of cholera.
