Dundalk Gardai are struggling to come to terms with the murder of their colleague Detective Garda Adrian Donohue, but are determined to find those responsible.

Louth representative of the Garda Representative Association Garda Robbie Peelo says it has been a tough week for local Gardai, many of whom are working on the investigation into his death.

The 41-year-old father of two was shot dead more than a week ago, during a botched robbery of a credit union in Jenkinstown, Co Louth.
