An €11.5 million cocaine seizure in Armagh is the largest in the PSNI’s history.
On Monday, officers were carrying out a routine patrol in Jonesborough, South Armagh when they caught sight of a suspicious lorry.
The vehicle was stopped and searched and the drugs were found hidden in boxes of frozen meats.
A man in his 30s was arrested and bailed as the PSNI continues its investigation.

“The sophistication of the concealment method and sheer quantity of the drugs gives an indication of the scale of criminality involved,” Superintendent Norman Haslett said.
“I believe that this significant quantity of drugs would have been distributed and sold in local communities across Northern Ireland bringing untold harm.
“Organised crime groups involved in this activity profit hugely from the sale of these harmful drugs and have no care for the destruction and harm they cause to people’s lives.”
Anyone with any information has been asked to contact the PSNI’s non-emergency number 101.
