Two men have been arrested after €300,000 worth of cannabis was found following searches in Tipperary and Carlow.
The operation took place shortly before 11am yesterday, and targeted organised crime in the area.
It began with Gardai stopping a vehicle on the M7, where around €100,000 worth of cannabis was discovered hidden in the boot.
The two men who were in the car at the time were arrested and taken to Nenagh Garda Station for questioning.
Later, follow up searches at a residence on the Tullow Road in Carlow uncovered more cannabis, worth approximately €200,000.
This consignment was also found inside a vehicle, and also in a hidden compartment.
All of the drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis, and Gardai have posted a photo on their social media accounts.
